A lifelong love of jewellery
Shelley's love of jewellery began long before Blushed.
Her first job was in a small family owned jewellery store in Benalla, in north east Victoria. There, she saw how jewellery could become part of the moments people remember most. Engagements, anniversaries, milestone birthdays and all the little celebrations in between.
Jewellery was never simply something beautiful to wear. It became part of someone's story.
That idea stayed with her for years.
Why rose gold?
As Shelley's own style developed, she found herself drawn almost exclusively to rose gold.
But there was a problem.
Beautifully designed rose gold jewellery was surprisingly difficult to find. Yellow gold was everywhere, and white gold was easy to come across, but there was something special about the warmth of rose gold that Shelley kept searching for.
Eventually, she realised she might not be the only woman looking for it.
That was the beginning of Blushed.
The goal was never simply to create another jewellery brand. It was to create the kind of jewellery Shelley genuinely wanted to wear herself.
